About
Apparently this page is very important because people like to know a bit about the person whose blog they are reading. Just to make sure they aren’t reading the ravings of a mad loony I suppose. Or perhaps to make sure they are. I don’t know. There’s a diverse audience out there. I aim to please so consider this written by a raving mad loony and the most sensible upstanding member of the WoW community you’re ever likely to find.
See. I sneakily put the word WoW in there. This blog is about that (read the first post for more specifically on that) & this “About Me” therefore serves two purposes- it’s about me in the real world and about me in the WoW world.
Me in the real world. Female. Married. In my thirties. Dog owner. No children …yet (ideally we want three so we can form a good 5 man group in the future – I think even 5 year olds would have less tantrums than some of the people we’ve encountered in groups but anyway…). Been playing Wow for several years but I’m not great, or elite, or not even remotely good some might say! I haven’t even got my Ret Pally (1st ever character) to 85. She’s currently stuck somewhere in Mt Hyjal at 82 trying to get to grips with the “interesting” way flying works in the firelands in that horrible quest (you’ll all know the one I mean). Never raided. Only did my first 5 man group a couple of weeks ago. Been a solo player for ever and a day. But the world has changed and now I only rarely venture out of dungeons, blinking blearily in the light and wondering why someone is standing nearby with a yellow exclamation mark over their heads.
Me in Wow – total altholic- the grass is always greener for me. Terema is my Ret Pally. Then there’s Luxmi (elemental, enhancement, restoration shaman depending on my mood and geared totally inappropriately for any of those roles). Salno is my warlock struggling with affliction and scared to look at Recount. Flossy- powerful arcane mage who gets panicky in a crisis and tries to sheep everything. Doon – a Death Knight whose never left the starting area. Androse my holy paladin who did start off with a partner called Thedoctor (put the two names together and Dr Who fans all over the world will either weep in joy or despair over those Eccleston/Piper/Tennant years). Frip – sad Tauren Druid with a total identity crisis currently shaking in a corner in Undercity wondering why as a peaceloving Tauren she’s taken up with these scary people). There are a few others whose names escape me now, and of course Sparci – my brave new Pally tank. It will be Sparci’s adventures that will be charted on this blog. Not only is she brave since she’s a tank but I’ve also thrown her onto a RP & PVP server just to make it even more “interesting”. However, I’ve found people generally unsupportive and critical when I try to roleplay in dungeons.
So that’s me. Should mention my Wow playing husband too who also has a similar array of characters and plays mostly dps in dungeons and when forced (see 1st post) heals Sparci. We’re good together in dungeons. He types stroppily at people who criticise me, while I carry on tanking in dignified silence!
Let the blogging and tanking commence.
